I bought a combination deal to take away - involving a taco, some rice and what was apparently a chorizo enchilada ('apparently' because it resembled a rissole more than anything else). Bottled beers are served such as Sol and Mexicana, usually served with a wedge of lime in the neck of the bottle. Sometimes it is served as a longer drink over ice in a highball glass. ‘Chuletillas de Cordero – beautiful little tender lamb chops are cooked with a garlic and salt crust. Sometimes served with fries and salad or even coleslaw or roasted vegetables and even mashed potato, a classic meal eaten in households all over the US. A lot of people say these establishments are proper Mexican but this is the Mexican I know and love and it's pretty good!

The only downside with takeaway is that any menu item that comes with a salad, they make you pay for a separate side salad as well as they don't provide salad with there meals!?! Served with rice.

Slammer Royale is a serious drink for the ‘professional’ – Tequila is mixed with champagne.

This renders the skin crisp while the flesh stays tender.

I moved to the Gold Coast a few weeks back and have been looking out for my new Mexican restaurant of choice, and I have to say that this is not it.

They need to jump on the internet and fix up there takeaway menu.

The Montezumas Delight is always incredible and fresh...sangria is always heaven and so are the Frozen midori margaritas!

The staff seem nice. The bigger restaurants will also tend to have custom brews, which are usually smooth and wheaty.

A summery cold soup, very traditional but also made in several different ways in restaurants. Starter portions are usually quite large!
