Very informative of the history, leaves you thinking and wondering. Still fun night out. To understand the deep history of Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL) we must give a voice to those who are often excluded from the stories of the past. Very informative and a great way to learn about urban legends and historical sights. The path of the tour was a bit unpleasing. Historians estimate that as many as 40,000 people found freedom on the west bank of the Niagara River, escaping from slavery in the American South and fleeing to Canada. He was very charismatic, and an excellent storyteller of NOTL's haunted history!

Highly recommend! Our guide Stella was fantastic. Let me first say that I have always been curious but leery of going on a haunted walk. I had a great time. All of the stories were entertaining and the tour guide was a great story teller, Lawrence. The guides are very knowledgeable. Definitely a fun thing to do. Great tour. Niagara Bound Tours is a historical attraction tour company in Niagara, established in 2004. Great night out with friends. Great staff, great stories and very affordable. I had an amazing time with my husband and kids on Sept 11th !! Sir Duncan did a great job last night on our tour. . Sir Lawrence was a great storyteller and really brought the Old Town's past to life. Must GO! Very, very interesting night even if you're not into the paranormal. Very informative and fun!

A perfect evening activity in NOLT especially when you can’t necessarily be indoors right now. Excellent tour.

The walk was about 90 minutes, but with many stops, it would not be too much for those who could not walk too long, plus, Duncan let us know if we want him to walk slowly, he would do that for us. Wasted a day going yesterday (I live an hour away) when I'm pretty sure the hours last time I went said they would be open and nope they weren't and the open hours post on the window was gone. Would definitely recommend to anyone. The Movement drafted its first “Declaration of Principles,” dedicated to addressing key issues of equal rights, voting, calling for the end to segregation and economic equality. After a bite of buttery cornbread the flavors take me home to my grandmother’s kitchen where cooking and traditions merged. Bill was an awesome tour guide! Our guide Bill is a natural born story teller and he was fantastic! Our tour guide was a great story teller and really made history come alive.

Was more of an historical walk to me, so it was wasn’t as spooky as I was expecting! Would do the walk again, it was a beautiful area to see. I wish we had got the oppourtunity to enter some of the old buildings. With a leisurely walk through Ontario’s oldest cemetery, stories of Niagara… Would definitely take the tour again. Our guide, Lindsay, had lots of great info and was incredibly engaging. Our guide Katrina was so knowledgeable and such a great storyteller. Great evening!! The Niagara Historical Society & Museum is is located on Castlereagh Street in the Niagara-on-the-lake Ontario, Canada. It’s been our specialty since 2003. Former Maryland slave Josiah Henson, who escaped in 1830 and became a pioneer community builder in Upper Canada, described how “the riotous exultation” of his feelings upon first landing here caused him to fall to the ground and “to execute sundry antics which excited the astonishment of those who were looking on.” They thought he was suffering from a seizure.

It houses over 40,000 artefacts and archives, preserving Canadian history and heritage for the community and visitors alike. It is certainly on my bucket list this year! Our guide was just awesome. The guide (Bob) was great, and informative. It's a must do for any overpriced NOTL first comers. You will learn some good history. It was very entertaining and educational, even as a skeptic. I learnt alot of history about the town and some spooky places. Looking forward to taking the Hamilton & Toronto tours soon. I am part of a Paranormal team here in Southern Ontario and I appreciated being on the other side of things for a little while .

Some were very frightening and one even worthy of having a horror movie made about it. He knew every location we stopped at like the back of his hand and told us the history with equal parts drama and comedy. Would have been cool if we could go inside some buildings but it was still fun. While it doesn't beat my number 1 (London, England), this was an amazing walk. . We had a group of about 12 or so. Mitchell was a great guide. I highly recommend this Ghost Walk if you've got an open evening and are in the Niagara area. Got my tickets from groupon, you get to learn a lot about the history and it’s a different and fun experience. By far the most amazing example of the local African American community experience is sitting along the Juneteenth Festival parade route- kicking off the nation’s largest Juneteenth festival. In addition to local history and legend, you get a great walk out of it. I highly recommend this adventure when in Niagara on the Lake, especially on a warm fall evening when it’s just too nice to end the evening. Lots of spooky stories to hear about. The tour guide was great and made the experience memorable and fun even with the rain pouring. He was great! Primarily, I suppose that I never really knew just what to expect. . Voices of Freedom gives a stage to the voices of people of African descent, both the enslaved and the free whose talents, skills, and labour contributed to the development of the Town. Great fun. Stories were told richly and with passion. We were all pleasantly surprised by David's (???) Lyndsey was great! I love doing Ghost Walks in every historic city I go to. W.E.B. All Rights Reserved. Highly recommend! A great way to end the evening for sure. It was a great deal for the price and I can't wait to go on another walk to learn some truly interesting history, intertwined with ghostly tales!

Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario falls into this category. My son and I enjoyed our Ghost walk last night. If you are open to it you might also want to join the drummers at the African American Culture Center where youthful dancers joyfully leap in celebration of culture and tradition. They can't really be standing on a surface, they have no weight.Are Ghosts even real?
