The food was great but what made me give this place a 5 was the staff. The sets were eliminated, now it's all ala carte and you add $2.80 or $6.80 to make a set. Beer used to be $4.90 (as it should be at an izakaya!) The grilled fish (imported from Japan) was a let down. The rest of the set was their usual (love their ice cream mochi), however the side dish of fried fish skin was rather gross.. it was stiff and not as good as the previous side dishes of fried chicken I had before... The eel is soft but nothing to shout about. Taste was ordinary and fish wasn't really that fresh. Also good service as well.
The staff told us to wait and said the place was fully booked when there were plenty of seats available at the back. Don't think I will come back here again. Anago don set w fried fish skin side dish not great.

It's really more like a side dish than a main course. They were so friendly, polite,...professional and were making sure everything was alright. Also very priceworthy: this dish also has 3 types of vegetables, rice, mushi, miso soup (gindara saikou yaki set) at 16.80! The grill/skewers are good, as was the beef tongue. You can order grilled skewers as well as newly started "One Box Bento" (starting $14.75), convenient bento boxes that include one choice of "3 Skewer Set" or "Donburi (over rice)", "Salad with your choice of dressing", and one choice of "AppetIzer". The Bluefin Tuna (flown-in fresh, thrice-weekly) is served as a sashimi steak. The Wagyu beef skewer is priced at $11 and I wonder if the chef cooked the wrong beef.
